Dayton brims with boutiques, malls, and off-beat shopping districts for browsing and buying. RTA Wright Stop Plaza, Montgomery County's Mass Transit Hub at Third and Main streets, features a retail mix where RTA riders can shop, relax, or grab sustenance. The Dayton Mall, anchored by Elder-Beerman, Macy's, JCPenney, and Sears, also draws with Dell Direct, Abercrombie and Fitch, and Yankee Candle Co. Eastown Shopping Center has a Big Lots, plus A.J. Wright's and Aldi's, and Fountain Square Shopping Center's intimate plaza features Weber's Jewelers, Roberts Jewelers, and Elan and Martha's Skin Care. Neighborhood magnets include The Cannery, where revamped grocery warehouses feature shops, galleries, pubs, and day-spa action. Oregon Historic District, Dayton's oldest, is packed with boutiques, music shops, taverns and eateries. National City Second Street Public Market, with a historic refurbished railroad freight house, features an enclosed produce pavilion and nearly 50 vendors for garden, food, and home décor. Centerville Place has Elder-Beerman and Stein Mart; Corners at the Mall features The Hobby Shop and TJ Maxx; and Cross Pointe Centre's more than 50 stores include Marshall's, Play-it-Again Sports, and Naked Furniture. NorthPark Center, anchored by Elder-Beerman and Kohl's, has CD Connection and Famous Footwear, and Northwest Plaza also has Elder-Beerman, plus Hallmark and more. Bargain-oriented South Town Centre features Half-Price Books, Value City Furniture, Jo Ann Fabrics, and a Burlington Coat Factory. Shops at Oakwood leans toward higher-end retailers such as Chico's, Talbot's, and Queen Anne's Bridal. Washington Square goes the diversity route with Galan's Fine Gifts, Nettle Creek Shop and Jewelers, Dorothy Lane Market, The Balloon Loft, and Upper Krust Deli. Stein Mart anchors Town & Country Shopping Center, also housing Monique's Shoe Store, the Pink Daisy for women's apparel, and Ga Ga's for kids. On West River Road, the SunWatch Indian Village Gift Shop showcases Native culture books, hand-crafted rugs, masks, pottery, and jewelry. On National Road, Vandalia Shopping Center features Crossroads Coins Inc. for collectibles and baseball cards, plus the Southern Diving Academy for scuba to the gills. Aullwood Nature Store, on Aullwood Road, is the place for kid's toys, bird feeders and whimsical gifts, and retail proceeds support the preserve sanctuary.
